The Little Mermaid Craft

Supplies:

  • Colored craft papers
  • Pencil – to trace the template
  • Craft glue
  • Marker or gel pen
  • A pair of scissors
  • Cardstock paper
  • Template

Instructions:

Download and print out the Little Mermaid template. Cut out all of the pattern pieces.

Select colored craft papers for the Ariel, Flounder and Sebastian figures.

Trace the patterns on the chosen craft papers using a pencil and cut the pieces out using a pair of scissors.

Use a marker to add details to the eye cutouts.

Glue the head cutout near the top of the hair cutout.

Glue the bangs cutout on the top of the head cutout.

Glue the eye cutouts on the head and use markers or gel pens to draw the nose, mouth, eyelashes, hair details, and cheeks.

Glue the waist along the top edge of the tail.

Glue the bikini top cutout on the body.

Use a marker to trace scalloped fins on the tail.

Glue the tail fin on the bottom of the tail.

Glue the head on top of the body.

Glue the tail onto Ariel’s body.

Apply glue on the top edge of the shoulder and attach it just behind Ariel’s body.

Glue the other arm in the same way.

Cut out all of the Flounder pieces.

Use glue to attach the blue details onto Flounder’s yellow body.

Use markers or gel pens to draw the rest of the small details.

Cut out the Sebastian figure pieces. Use a marker or gel pen to add details to the eyes.

Use glue to attach all of Sebastian’s pieces together.

Use a marker or gel pen to draw the rest of the small details on Sebastian.

Glue the small figures (the starfish, Sebastian, and Flounder) to small strips of cardstock to make bookmarks.
