How to make super easy and adorable Rudolph Pops

(you’ll find a printable recipe card at the end of this post)

First gather ingredients and supplies to make the Rudolph pops.

Rice Krispie Treats– We used store bought, individually wrapped Rice Krispie treats for our reindeer pops. You can make your favorite Rice Krispie treat recipe and cut the treats into small rectangles if you prefer.

Candy Eyes– You’ll need a pack of candy eyes for these Rudolph treats. You can find them in your local grocery story with the cake decorating supplies, or even in a craft store. Of course, you can also order them online.

Red Candies– You can use M&Ms, sixlets, or Skittles for Rudolph’s nose. If you’d like to also make Santa’s other reindeer you can use the brown M&Ms for their noses. Sometimes you can find a bag of all red M&Ms, but if you need to buy the regular pack I’m sure you can find someone to eat the others!

Mini Pretzels– You’ll need a pack of mini pretzels for the reindeer’s ears.

Melting Chocolate– My favorite melting chocolates are Ghirardelli MeltingWafers, but you can also use almond bark or brown candy melts.

Popsicle Sticks– Don’t forget the popsicle sticks for your reindeer pops!

Directions:

You’ll want to unwrap all of the Rice Krispie treats that you’d like to make into reindeer.

Then, melt your chocolate in a microwave safe bowl, following the directions included with the type of chocolate you chose.

Your Rudolph Krispie Pops can have chocolate covered pretzel ears, or simply have pretzel ears. If you’d like chocolate covered ears, dip those first.

Set the chocolate covered ears on wax or parchment paper to set.

Then, stick a popsicle stick into each Rice Krispie treat. To make it extra secure, you can dip a little chocolate on the end of the stick before inserting the popsicle stick into the rice krispie treat.

Shake off any extra chocolate, then lay the chocolate covered Rice Krispie treat on a piece of parchment paper.

Stick the eyes and nose onto the reindeer.

*if your chocolate has set too much for the eyes, nose, and ears to stick to the reindeer simply melt a little chocolate and use it as “glue” to secure the details to the reindeer’s face.

Next stick the reindeer’s ears to the top of his head.

If you are going to package your reindeer treats, be sure the chocolate is completely set before packaging.

Aren’t they the cutest Rudolph dessert you’ve ever seen??
