(you’l find a printable recipe card at the end of this post)
Gather your ingredients.
You’ll need butter, sugar, an egg, flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt for the cookies.
Then you’ll need black and red frosting and pretzels for decorating the reindeer cookies.
First you’ll make a batch of chocolate sugar cookies.
Cream your butter and sugar, then add the eggs and beat well.
Then mix in all the dry ingredients until the cookie dough forms.
You’ll want to refrigerate the cookie dough for about an hour before shaping it.
After an hour or so, preheat your oven. While the oven is preheating roll out the cookie dough and use a cookie cutter to cut it into a 2 inch circle.
Press half a pretzel into the top of the circle for the antlers.
Bake the cookies for about 8 minutes, then allow them to cool.
Now, use icing to create the Rudolph’s face. Add a red circle for his nose.
Then add two black dots for Rudolph’s eyes.
That’s it! So easy!
