Clay Pot Acorn Craft for Fall

All you need is a clay pot and it’s saucer plus paint, wiggle eyes and glue to create this super cute Acorn Craft perfect for autumn!

Clay Flower Pot Acorn Craft for Fall

Acorn themed decor is a fun and unique way to celebrate the fall season. Make this cute flower pot acorn to spice up your fall decor this season!

You can even fill this acorn up with treats to give as a gift! What a great gift for a teacher or grandparent!

Materials:

Instructions:

Basecoat the base of the clay pot with light brown acrylic craft paint.

Basecoat the rim of the clay pot and the clay saucer with dark brown acrylic craft paint.

Let all paint dry and apply a second coat, if necessary.

Using a small paintbrush, create an “X” pattern around the rim of the clay pot with light brown acrylic craft paint.

Place the clay saucer on top of the pot as a lid and continue the cross-hatching pattern.

*You could also use a light brown paint pen and a scallop pattern.

*A gold paint pen would also be a great choice for this step.

Attach a wooden stem to the top center of the clay saucer with the craft glue of your choice.

This bundle of wooden stems was found at the dollar store, but you could use a tree branch from the yard, a dowel rod, or even an old wine cork.

Add a face to the acorn by attaching two wiggle eyes with your craft glue.

Add cheeks by dipping a new pencil eraser in pink acrylic craft paint and dotting on either side of the acorn’s face.

Draw a mouth from cheek to cheek with a permanent black marker.

To finish the acorn, tie a bow with natural jute twine and glue to the wooden stem.

This is a fun fall craft can be completed in just about 30 minutes.
