How to Make a Craft Stick Pizza
Materials:
- Jumbo Craft Sticks
- Wiggle Eyes
- Liquid Glue or a Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
- Acrylic Craft Paint – Red & Yellow
- Craft Felt – Tan, Burgundy, & Pink
- Scissors
- Paintbrush
- Black Marker
- Pencil
- Printed Pattern
Instructions:
To create the pizza, create a triangle with three jumbo craft sticks on your work surface, and secure at the corners with glue.
*We use a glue gun and glue sticks for this tutorial, but you can use liquid craft glue if you prefer.
Dry fit additional jumbo craft sticks along the length of the triangle and mark with a pencil.
Trim the ends of the jumbo craft sticks with scissors.
Attach the trimmed jumbo craft sticks to the back of the pizza with glue.
Paint one inch at the top of the pizza with red craft paint for the sauce. Paint the remainder of the pizza with yellow craft paint for the cheese. Let dry, and apply a second coat, if necessary.
Download, print, and cut out the pizza patterns.
Trace the crust pattern onto tan craft felt and the pepperonis onto burgundy craft felt.
Cut out the pizza patterns with scissors. Make sure to cut inside the traced lines so you end up with a clean finished project.
Attach the crust to the top to the top edge of the craft stick pizza with glue. Attach two wiggle eyes with a glue gun and glue sticks. Cut out two circles from pink craft felt and glue to either side of the eyes for the cheeks.
Glue the burgundy felt pepperoni in a random manner on the pizza. Cut some pepperoni in half and attach to the edge of the slice.
Draw a smile from cheek to cheek with a black marker.
