DIY Minion Glitter Ornament

Christmas, Seasonal

Since my kids are all about the minions, we made our own Minion Glitter Ornaments. Today we want to share the fun and easy tutorial with you.

DIY Glitter Minion Ornaments are fun to make with your kids!

DIY Glitter Minion Ornament

Supplies:

  • clear round ornaments– either glass or plastic will work.
  • floor polish wax
  • yellow glitter
  • thin black ribbon
  • bottle caps
  • google eye sized to fit in the bottle caps
  • black paint pen

Directions:

Open the ornament top, and squeeze about 4 Tablespoons of floor polish into the ornament. DIY Glitter Minion OrnamentRoll the floor polish around the glass ornament to coat. 2015-12-11_0003

Pour any excess floor polish back in the bottle, or into the next ornament.

Next, pour glitter into the floor polish coated ornament.2015-12-11_0005

Swirl and gently shake the glitter around to coat the sides of the ornament. Pour any excess glitter out, once the ornament is fully coated.2015-12-11_0006

Cut a length of black ribbon, long enough to go around the ornament. Using hot glue, secure the ribbon around the middle of the ornament.2015-12-11_0008

Glue the google eyes into the bottle caps.2015-12-11_0007

Glue the bottle caps on to the ornament’s black ribbon.2015-12-11_0009

Using the black paint pen, give the minion a mouth and hair.2015-12-11_0010

All finished! Hang your minion on the tree, or tie it to a minion inspired Christmas present.

Target has the cutest exclusive Minions Metal Pak Blu-ray/DVD which includes 40 minutes of Target Exclusive content. If your kids love the minions, this is the DVD to buy. With a minion party planner, you’ll find invitations, decorations, recipes, crafts and more. Plus, with the purchase of this Blu-Ray/DVD MetalPak, you get a $5 Target gift card! Target is the perfect one-stop-shop for all your movie night needs- don’t forget to grab some popcorn too!DIY Glitter Minion Ornament

While you are at Target getting the Minions movie, don’t forget to check out all the fun Minions licensed products available at Target. Wouldn’t the movie and a minion toy wrapped with one of these ornaments tied to the gift tag be an adorable Christmas gift for the minion lovers in your life?
