How to Make a Dr. Seuss Theme Banner

Supplies:

  • Craft paper
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Craft glue
  • Markers
  • String
  • Printed template

Instructions:

Download and print out the Dr. Seuss banner template.

Select colored craft papers for the Dr. Seuss characters and items. The template includes patterns for Cat in the Hat’s Hat and Bow tie, the Grinch, Lorax, fishes, a hot air balloon, and a Truffula tree. 

Use a red marker to add horizontal red strips to the hat cutout.

Use a black marker to add outlines to the hat pattern.

Use a black marker to add outlines to the bow tie cutout.

Attach the strip cutouts of the hot air balloon to the balloon cutout.

Attach the basket cutout to the bottom end of the hot air balloon.

Attach the hair cutout to the top and the collar fur cutout to the bottom edge of the Grinch head cutout.

Attach the Truffula tree cutouts.

Attach the mustache cutouts to the head cutout of the Lorax.

Attach the eyebrows to the Lorax head cutout. Use black marker to draw outlines on all the crafted items.

Cut out a long strand of yarn or string.

Attach the papercraft items to the prepared yarn or string. Attach the back side of the papercraft items.

Once you attach enough papercraft items to a strand, turn it to the right side.

Similarly, craft another strand or 2.
