How to Make a Banner for Mardi Gras

Supplies:

  • Colored craft papers
  • Pencil
  • Craft glue
  • Scissors
  • String
  • Markers
  • Printed Mardi Gras template

Instructions:

Download and print out the Mardi Gras template. Cut out the pattern pieces.

Print and cut out the Mardi Gras template patterns. The template includes patterns for a mask, a crown, a pearl necklace, and a Fleur-de-lis.

Select colored craft papers and trace the patterns on the selected papers using a pencil. Cut out the traced patterns from the craft papers using scissors.

Attach the small round cutouts on the ring cutout to make the beaded necklace.

Cover the whole ring with the round cutouts to complete the paper necklace.

Attach the teardrop cutout to the center of the crown base cutout.

Attach the 3 round cutouts to the 3 tips of the crown base.

Use different colored papers to make more paper crowns.

Take a mask cutout and attach the leaf-shaped cutouts to the middle part of the mask.

Attach 2 or more leaf cutouts to decorate the eye mask.

Glue the the Fleur-de-lis cutouts together to complete the pattern.

Prepare 2 strings for the banner.
