Instructions:
Download and print out the Halloween corner bookmarks template. Cut out all of the pattern pieces.
Select any colored craft paper for the origami corner bookmarks.
Choose craft papers for the halloween items. The pattern includes templates for a bat, a ghost, a jack-o-lantern, a candy corn and a witch’s hat.
Let’s start with the bat and jack-o-lantern patterns. Trace the patterns on the selected craft papers and cut them out using scissors.
Take the bat and pumpkin bases and select matching colored markers for them. Use the markers to trace outlines on the bat and pumpkin bases.
Take the pumpkin base and attach the eye cutouts onto it.
Attach the stem cutout on the top edge of the pumpkin pattern.
Use black markers to draw the nose and mouth of the jack-o-lantern.
Next we will make the bat.
Attach the eye cutouts on to the bat base and use a black marker to draw the mouth on to the bat.
Attach the fang cutouts along the bottom edge of mouth.
Use a pink marker to draw and fill in the inner ear of the bat.
Cut squares about 4.75 inches. (If you have 5 inch origami paper, it will work without cutting it smaller.)
Make origami corner bookmarks using the square sheets. If you’ve never made an origami corner bookmark before, follow the step-by-step directions here to make your origami bookmark bases.
Attach the jack-o-lantern and bat figures onto the origami corner bookmarks. Allow the glue to dry before using the bookmarks.
Similarly, trace, cut out and glue the patterns to craft the rest of the Halloween items.
