Mermaid Craft

How to make a glittery mermaid craft
Supplies:
- Colored craft papers – you can use cardstock or construction paper.
- Glitter paper or glitter foam sheet
- Yarn
- Seed beads
- Thread
- Sequins
- Black marker or pen
- Craft glue
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Template
Directions:
Print and cut out the mermaid template.
Choose the colored craft papers you’d like to use. You’ll need one skin tone, and then any other colors you would like. I went with pinks and purples for my mermaid.
Trace the template pieces on the colored papers, then cut them out.
Glue the mermaid’s shirt to her torso.
Gather your hair piece and matching yarn. Cut a slit along the yellow line of the patters. Cut the yarn into small pieces, and glue the pieces to the hair paper piece.
Fill the hair with yarn as shown below. Be sure not to glue the slit closed.
Glue the cheeks to the mermaid’s face and slide the head under the slit in the hair pieces. Glue the head down onto the hair piece.
Use a black marker or pen to draw the eyes, nose and mouth of the mermaid craft.
Glue the mermaid’s head onto her neck.
String about 10 seed beads onto a piece of thread.
Place the necklace on the mermaid’s neck, securing with glue behind the mermaid’s neck.
Glue the mermaid’s tail to her body.
Now you have an adorable glittering mermaid! Enjoy playing with her!
