Turkey Gnome for Thanksgiving

How to make a turkey gnome for Thanksgiving
Supplies:
- Felt fabrics
- Matching threads
- Needle
- Pencil
- A pair of scissors
- cotton batting
- Template
Instructions:
Download and print out the turkey gnome template. Cut out all of the template pieces.
Select colored felt fabrics for the turkey gnome plush and trace the patterns on the selected felts.
Cut out the traced pieces.
Take the belt and the buckle cutouts. Cut slits along any 2 opposite sides of the buckle cutouts. Insert the belt through the slits to make the belt pattern.
Place the belt pattern on the hat cutout and sew them together.
Place the nose cutout on top of the mustache cutout and then place that stack on the top edge of the beard cutout.
Sew 2 or 3 stitches at the top of the nose to secure the beard, mustache and nose together.
Place the beard on the shirt cutout. Then place the hat on top , just barely covering the top edge of the beard cutout.
Now, stitch a line across the bottom line of the hat, so the beard stack, shirt, and hat are joined together. Don’t cut the thread.
Lay the front of the gnome on the base, continue stitching around the edge of the hat to join the sides of the hat to the gnome base.
Slip the shoe cutouts between the gnome’s base and the gnome’s shirt.
Stitch around the sides and bottom of the gnome’s shirt, leaving a small opening.
Stuff the gnome with cotton batting through the opening.
Stitch the opening closed.
Cut out an arch shaped base from scrap felt for the tail feathers.
Sew the tail feather cutouts on the arch felt piece one by one.
Sew the felt turkey gnome plush onto the tail feather piece to complete the craft.
