  • Markers
  • Template

Instructions for creating the handprint gnomes:

Download and print out the handprint gnome template. Cut out the pattern pieces.

Select different colored craft papers for the handprint gnome craft.

Since we’re crafting these for Valentine’s day, so we’ve selected red and pink colored craft papers, but you can select any colored craft papers you’d like.

Trace the template patterns on the selected craft papers and use a pair of scissors to cut out the traced pieces.

Trace your hand on a white or cream paper to create the gnome’s beard. We’ve included a handprint shape on the gnome template, in case you don’t want to trace a hand for this Valentine paper craft.

Glue the hat cutout along the top edge of the palm side of the handprint cutout.

Attach the shoe cutouts along the bottom (rounded edge) of the body cutout.

Glue the nose just below the bottom edge of the hat, slightly overlapping the hat’s edge.

Attach the gnome’s head at the top edge of the body piece.

Use a marker to draw heart polka dotted patterns on the hat or body of the gnome. Or, you can use patterned craft papers to add details to the gnome’s hat and body.

Make more Valentine gnomes using different colored papers for a fun and festive Valentine’s Day craft.
