How to make a Felt Sugar Plum Fairy Ornament
List of Supplies:
- Colored felt fabrics
- Pencil
- Needle
- Matching thread
- Ribbon
- Cotton
- A pair of scissors
- Black marker
Instructions:
Download and print out the Sugar Plum Fairy template. Cut out the pattern pieces.
Select colored felt fabrics and trace the patterns on the selected fabrics. Use scissors to cut out the traced patterns.
Place the head cutout on the hair cutout, near the bottom edge.
Stitch the head cutout to the hair cutout.
Place the hair band on the bottom edge of the bun.
Use a black marker to draw the sugar plum fairy’s eyes, nose, and mouth. Or, stitch the face details using black thread.
Stitch the hair band to the hair.
Place the shoe cutouts along the bottom edge of the base cutout.
Place the wing cutouts on either side of the base cutout.
Place the dress cutout between the wings on the ornament base.
Place the small strip along the middle part of the dress.
Stitch along the sides and bottom of the dress to connect the base, dress, wings, belt and shoes.
Place the head on top of the ornament base, overlapping the dress.
Stitch around the sides of the ornament to attach all the pieces. Leave a small opening for stuffing.
Stuff the sugar plum fairy ornament with a small amount of cotton batting before closing the last side.
