How to Make a Mini Pallet Snowman

Materials:

  • Two Mini Wooden Pallets
  • Jumbo Craft Stick
  • Wiggle Eyes
  • Pom Poms
  • Black Buttons
  • Chenille Stem
  • Ribbon
  • Wooden Snowflakes
  • Orange Craft Felt
  • Craft Paint in White, Black, and Light Blue
  • Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
  • Paintbrush
  • Scissors
  • Pencil

Instructions:

Gather all supplies. Place the jumbo craft stick about one third down from the top of the first mini pallet and draw a line with a pencil.

Paint the bottom two thirds of the first mini wooden pallet and the entire second mini wooden pallet with white acrylic craft paint and a paintbrush. Set aside to dry, and apply a second coat, if necessary.

Basecoat the top one third of the first mini pallet and the jumbo craft stick with black acrylic craft paint. Let dry and apply a second coat, if necessary.

Attach the jumbo craft stick to the black and white mini pallet with a glue gun and glue sticks. This will be the snowman’s hat brim. If using liquid craft glue, please allow additional time for drying.

Using scissors, cut out a carrot shape from orange craft felt. Colored cardstock, heavy fabric, or craft foam would work for this project as well.

Attach two large wiggle eyes and the orange craft felt carrot nose to each of the snowmen with a glue gun and glue sticks.

Measure and an 8” length of chenille stem and glue to both sides of the snowman’s head. Attach a pom pom to right and left sides of the snowman’s head with a glue gun and glue sticks.

Select 10 small buttons and attach 5 to each snowman for the mouth with a glue gun and glue sticks.

Glue a decorative ribbon around the snowman’s hat as the hat band accent. This cute blue ribbon has snowflakes on it.

Basecoat one small wooden snowflake with white acrylic craft paint and a second with light blue acrylic craft paint. Let dry, and apply a second coat, if necessary.

To finish, glue the light blue snowflake to the snowman wearing the earmuffs and the white snowflake to the snowman wearing the top hat.

All done!
