How to Make Easter Corner Bookmarks

Now that you’re inspired, let’s get started! With just a few supplies and some folding, cutting, and gluing, you’ll soon have your own Easter chick, bunny, and flower bookmarks to enjoy or share. Follow these step-by-step instructions to create these delightful designs!

Supplies:

  • Colored craft papers
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Craft glue
  • Markers or gel pens

Instructions:

Download, and print out the easter corner bookmarks template. Cut out the pattern pieces for the bookmark you’d like to create.

Take a piece of square (12cm x 12cm) paper to big your bookmark. We will be using a white square in the instructions below. You’ll want to use white for the bunny, yellow for the chick, and any color you’d like for the flower.

Fold the square paper in half diagonally.

Fold the right bottom corner upwards and so it’s point touches the top point of the triangle.

Fold the left bottom corner the same way.

Fold the right flap in half, back down towards the bottom point.

Fold the left flap in half in the same way.

Unfold the last 4 folds.

Take the top point of the top layer and fold it down to the bottom edge of the triangle.

Fold the right point back up to the top point of the triangle.

Tuck the corner you just folded up, down between the two layers as shown below.

The bookmark should now look like the photo below.

Next fold the bottom left point up and back down just as you did the right point.

Turn the origami corner bookmark to the other side.

Cut a round edge along the open corner of the square part. Be sure to only cut the single layer, not the folded portion.
At this point, your origami bookmark is complete. Now, you can make it into a bunny, chick, or flower.

For the bunny:
Trace and cut out the patterns for the rabbit bookmark.

Attach the inner ear cutouts on the outer ear cutouts.

Attach the paper ears on the round side of the origami bookmark.

Attach the blush cutouts and use markers or gel pens to draw the face onto the bunny.

Next, make the flower and chick bookmarks! See below for the placement of their details.
