Dr. Seuss’ birthday is nearly here! Make this adorable Handprint Thing 1 & Thing 2 Craft.

Dr. Seuss week is the time to enjoy your favorite Dr. Suess books, crafts and activities. If you love the Thing Dr. Seuss characters, you’ll love this super easy handprint Thing 1 & Thing 2 craft.

How to make Thing 1 & Thing 2 Handprint Craft

List of Supplies:

  • Colored craft papers
  • Pencil – to trace the template
  • Craft glue
  • Marker or gel pen
  • Scissors
  • Template

Instructions:

Download and print out the Seuss Craft Template. Cut out all of the template pieces.

Select blue, red and white craft papers for this craft. You can trace your own hand or you can use the handprint included with the template.

Trace and cut out the template patterns from the chosen craft papers. Write “Thing 1” or “Thing 2″on the circle cutout.

The handprint is going to be the hair of the Things.

Glue the head cutout onto the palm part of the handprint cutout.

The rectangle cutout will be the body of the Thing characters.

Glue the Thing’s head to the red rectangle cutout.

Attach the name label on the body, below the Thing’s head.

Use a marker or gel pen to draw the face onto the Thing character.

Now that Thing 1 is made, follow the directions again to create Thing 2.
